Detail and Schedule Drawing Options form

Used to control the appearance of drawing elements in the Detail Drawing.

Opens when the Options button is clicked on the Detail Drawing tab of the Main View window.

This form displays different sets of controls depending on the foundation type in the drawing:
  • Typical Foundations (all foundation types and schedules other than pile cap)
  • Pile Caps
  • Controls common to both forms

Typical Foundations

SettingDescription
Concrete Leveling Thickness

Type a concrete leveling thickness and select the appropriate unit.

Leveling concrete is used only for detail drawing purpose.

Grout

Set grout thickness with appropriate unit on top of pedestal. Grout is only used for detail drawing purpose when anchor bolts are specified.

Note: Grout is not displayed when pedestal is not present or anchor bolts are not assigned to pedestal.
Bottom Of Footing Elevation

Type an elevation for the bottom of footing and select the appropriate unit. All other footing elevations will be calculated relative to this value.

The Bottom Footing Elevation is used only for detail drawing purpose.

Change Stirrup Arrangements

Click to open a table containing options for stirrups/ties for each pedestal. Simply enable check box to draw tie bar for particular pedestal bar and vice versa.

Bars added with Bar 1 Along X and Bar 5 Along Z

Standard Drawing options

SettingDescription
Dimension Line Options Set the Arrowhead Size and Dimension Line Offset using the size toggle controls. Dimension lines offset in outward direction from the view. The Dimension Line Visibility is toggled using the selector.
Extension Line Options

Extend of Extension Line Extension line can be further extended passing the dimension line using this toggle.
Extension of Line Offset Extension lines offset from the view in outward direction using this toggle
Extension Line Visibility Extension line visibility can be turned on or off through this toggle.
Text Options

Dimension Text Height Height of dimension text can be set through this toggle
Distance Around Text Text for dimension lines is offset in the text position direction when Dimension Text Position is set as ‘Above’. For Dimension Text Position is set as ‘Center’, it curtails the dimension line around the text.
Dimension Text Alignment Dimension text can be either aligned along with the dimension line or always horizontal using this toggle.
Dimension Text Position Position of dimension text can be set to above dimension line or aligned with dimension line using this toggle
Font Options Select the callout Font Size and set the Callout Arrowhead Size using these tools.
Color Options For Dimension Lines Color, Extension Lines Color, and Dimension Text Color, click the associated button to open a Select Color dialog.
Refresh Drawing Click to update the Drawing to reflect any changes.

Common Controls

SettingDescription
Decimal Places Set the decimal place precision for drawing dimensions.
Paper Size Select the paper size for the detail drawing. Based on the paper, size scales for various views will change. The detailed drawing can be plotted to scale based on paper size choice.
Element Properties Used to set the color and font size of drawing text and the color and line type for lines. The Arrow Size for callouts and dimension lines can also be adjusted.
Click the square color button adjacent to an element to open the Select Color dialog.
Click the Line button adjacent to a element to open the Select Linetype dialog.
Material Properties Used to set color and line type by material.
